Alliance Group is proud to support New Zealand’s rural communities and share our knowledge and expertise. We host and back a number of network initiatives.
We believe it’s important for all our farmers to understand the co-operative they own.
Aiming to strengthen links and building knowledge amongst Alliance Group’s female shareholders, our Women’s Workshops offer practical learning opportunities as well as a forum to learn more about the company and share experiences.
Typically, workshops include a tour of the company’s processing plants, an overview of the red meat industry, and an introduction to some lesser-known but valuable tools available to farmers.
It’s a unique opportunity to see what goes on behind the scenes in the red meat industry, understand the experience and skills of the people involved, and grasp the significant contribution our co-op makes to the local economy.
Women make up approximately half of our 5,000 shareholders, and we’re keen to acknowledge the important role they play within Alliance Group. Now more than ever, women are among the key decision makers when it comes to farm management – so it’s important we provide them with information that enables them to make informed decisions for the benefit of their farming operations.
If you’re interested in attending one of our Women’s Workshops, please contact us for more information on upcoming dates and times.
