Assistant Accountant

Alliance Group is New Zealand’s only major red meat co-operative, owned and supplied by skilled and passionate Kiwi farmers. We are owned and supplied by 5,000 farmer shareholders, who send 7 million animals each year for our 4,700 employees to process across 8 processing plants into $1.4 billion of turnover. Due to the pace of change the business is experiencing we are looking to build resources and capability in our finance team. The role carries a broad range of analytical, technical and reporting responsibilities and will be ideal for someone pursuing their professional accountancy qualification and looking for that step up in their career path as they become more self-sufficient and dynamic in the way they work. Key elements of this diverse role include: • Weekly KPI performance reporting • Weekly cash flow reporting • Assisting with monthly bank and board reporting • PAYE and GST preparation and filing • Journal preparation and posting • Month end reconciliations • Staff expenses process ownership • Fixed asset register maintenance • Treasury processing cover Alliance Group is on a journey of change with over 100 transformation projects in progress. Remuneration will be based on experience and qualification and includes subsidized health care and appropriate professional study support. Maintenance Manager – Dannevirke Plant

Our Dannevirke Plant currently has an outstanding leadership opportunity and they are looking for an experienced, motivated, innovative thinking person to fill this role. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading, organising and managing the resources and activities of the Maintenance Department at the Dannevirke Plant, including managing a team of trades staff. This requires day to day supervision, planning, and monitoring of the plant maintenance operation and preventative maintenance, while ensuring that all safety, customer and regulatory requirements are delivered in full. Further Processing Supervisor - Dannevirke Plant

This great opportunity for the role of Senior Supervisor for our Further Processing department includes potential for advancement over time. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role is responsible for managing the department’s supervisory team, Health & Safety leadership and promotion planning. This role must work within budgets and time frames, enhance efficiency and productivity, ensure product quality standards meet expectations, actively monitor and manage processes and compliance while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
