Human Resources Manager - Lorneville Plant, Invercargill

Our Lorneville Plant, which is located approximately 10Km north of Invercargill, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced human resources professional. The successful applicant will play a key role in the plant's performance improvement programme through providing expert HR advice and support. As a member of the Plant's leadership team you will assist the Plant Manager in developing a performance focused culture. You will also work with the GM Human Resources to deliver the company-wide HR strategy. Specific responsibilities for this role include providing specialist advice in all aspects of employee and industrial relations, developing and managing the Plant HR plan and ensuring company employment policies and standards are met. You will develop/support and implement plans as necessary in the areas of recruitment, training and leadership coaching, performance management and payroll and administration. Candidates for this role will possess the following: Substantial 'hands on' human resource experience within a fast changing industrial or manufacturing environment The proven ability to develop and implement HR policy and procedures Well-developed advocacy and negotiation skills and a current understanding of industrial relations, including the ability to prepare employment agreements Advanced interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and work across all levels within the organisation A relevant qualification in management or human resources, ideally at degree level This role should appeal to individuals who display a high level of leadership behaviour and who want to make a real difference in the Plant's future. Senior Management Accountant - Corporate Office

Due to a secondment of the incumbent to a key company project, we are looking for candidates for the above fixed term contract role. The term is fixed until the end of Phase Two of the project (which is likely to be November 2017) with the opportunity for a further extension by agreement if the project progresses. The position is based at our Corporate Office in Invercargill. The role carries a broad range of analytical, technical and reporting responsibilities and will require an experienced management accountant with relevant professional accountancy qualifications. There is a requirement for this person to have strong financial systems knowledge. Key elements of this diverse role include: maintaining and developing sales management reporting systems support sales forecasting monthly sales function reporting variance analysis and reporting budget preparation revenue, cash flows and production modelling sales systems administration and support stock analysis ad hoc project support for sales and finance teams. Remuneration will be based on experience and qualifications and reflect the fixed term nature of the position. Laboratory Technician - Lorneville Plant, Invercargill

Our Lorneville Plant, which is located approximately 10Km north of Invercargill, invites applications for a full time Microbiology Laboratory Technician. The Plant laboratory provides microbiological and chemical analysis of a wide range of meat products, processed foods, inedible by-products and related samples to Lorneville and other Alliance Plants. The Laboratory Technician role will involve the sampling and microbiological analysis of meat products, potable water and processing equipment, and maintenance of the Laboratory’s quality control system. Skills and experience in microbiological techniques and good computer skills are required. The main focus of the role will be on microbiology however at times there will be opportunities to be involved with chemistry testing of by-products and other samples. A science degree, diploma or equivalent tertiary science qualification is preferred and applicants must have a sound knowledge of laboratory procedures. Experience in an IANZ accredited laboratory is an advantage. Applicants must have a flexible approach to their work, be willing to contribute to the team environment and commit themselves to the Alliance Group’s continuous improvement philosophy.
