Murray Behrent to leave Alliance Group

Alliance Group General Manager Livestock and Shareholder Services, Murray Behrent, has resigned after 36 years with the company.

 

Mr Behrent joined Alliance in 1990 and became part of the company’s Executive Leadership team in 2007.

 

“After more than three decades of service to Alliance, Murray believes now is the right time to step away from the company,” said Alliance Chief Executive Niall Browne.

 

“I know how much Murray is respected across the company and New Zealand’s red meat sector.

 

“In addition to his leadership of the livestock team, he has played a key role in Alliance’s integration with Dawn Meats over the past few months

 

“He leaves Alliance with our best wishes and appreciation for his hard work and commitment to the company.”

 

Mr Behrent said he was proud of his contribution to the company.

 

“I’ve been privileged to work alongside great colleagues and exceptional farmers up and down the country over the past 36 years.

 

“In that time, the company has grown and evolved, and it’s now in a much stronger position with a positive future.”

 

Wayne Shaw, Alliance’s General Manager Safety and Processing, will assume the core day to day livestock responsibilities.
