Investing in people

in people

We are committed to developing our employees by growing their skills, knowledge, and experience, which allows them to excel in their current positions and pursue their career goals. We depend on talented individuals and strong leaders to deliver excellent results, so we invest in the future success of our business and our people.
Alliance Farmers Produce

We want to be recognised as an organisation that delivers our vision of being a world-class global food and solutions company while creating prosperity for our farming families, respecting our people, delivering quality produce solutions for our customers and operating a sustainable and commercially successful co-operative. To achieve this, we need to attract and retain the best and brightest talent in Aotearoa. People who share our values, and our commitment to New Zealand farmers.

Defined by our people for our people, our values are what we stand for. They define our behaviours and shape our culture. We are committed to continually evolving this culture, living our values and becoming truly inclusive.

Careers at Alliance Group New Zealand

Our Alliance Values determine “how we do things around here” and therefore, the behaviours that are most important to us. It is through these behaviours that we bring the values to life, and truly live and lead them.

Our leadership development framework is centred around our values and focuses on teaching all leaders how to live and lead them everyday. Because, culture, or “the way we do things around here”, is built through the small things we do everyday (rather than the big things we do every so often).

Personal and

Alliance is a huge business which means the opportunities for you to grow and develop here are endless.

Once you have settled into your role and into Alliance, your manager will have a development conversation with you to identify your specific development needs and wants for the year ahead. You’ll also have an opportunity to participate in various courses and programmes in your time here.

It’s important to note that development is important for many reasons! Aside from ensuring that you have the health & safety, compliance, and technical training and qualifications needed to be successful in your role, we develop our people so that you can be the best ‘you’ possible, so that you can be a better team-mate, so that you can perform more effectively in your role, and so that you can build new skills, knowledge and experiences for the future.

We want to support you with achieving your career aspirations, whatever those might be.
