Alliance Group strikes gold again in Outstanding NZ Food Producer Awards

Alliance Group has repeated its success at the Outstanding NZ Food Producer Awards, winning three golds and a silver medal across the beef, venison and lamb categories.
The company once again won honours for every cut entered in the prestigious competition, with gold medals for its Pure South Handpicked 55-day Aged Ribeye, Pure South Whole Ribeye and Pure South Venison Five Rib Rack, and silver for its Pure South Lamb French Rack.
The awards celebrate inspiring Kiwis who harvest, grow and produce New Zealand’s outstanding food and drink. Entries are judged on a range of criteria including aroma, visual appearance, flavour, consistency, quality, sustainability, brand story and packaging.
Alliance Group Chief Executive Niall Browne said the accolades for Alliance products nationally and internationally reflected the dedication of farmers to achieve the highest quality.
“Alliance Group has built an outstanding reputation for excellence with our global customers.
“We have seen that commitment to the highest quality reflected in our success in the Outstanding NZ Food Producer Awards, year after year, and also global accolades in the World Steak Challenge, where we again won gold in October.”
Judges for the 2026 Outstanding NZ Food Producer Awards celebrated the “wow” factor for Alliance’s 55-day Aged Ribeye, describing it as “cutting like butter” with a “clean, fresh even grassy flavour.”
With the venison rack, the judges found “the venison flavour shines through, with good colour and delicious chew,” while the beef whole ribeye and French lamb rack won accolades for their tender juicy texture.
