Our Commitment

Alliance Group is now an official partner of Ronald McDonald House South Island, the independent charitable trust providing free accommodation and support to families who need to travel to Christchurch and Invercargill for their children’s medical treatment.

Ronald McDonald House South Island is very close to the hearts of many of our people, our farmers and the wider community. A number of our employees and farmers have been helped by RMH facilities and appreciate the very valuable role it fulfils.

The partnership will see our co-operative provide support for the Ronald McDonald House South Island's major 2021 fundraiser - the annual Supper Club events in Christchurch, Queenstown and Invercargill - and donate meat for a range of events throughout the yearThe 2021 Supper Club events, which will commence on Friday 26th March in Invercargill, followed by the Christchurch event on 18th June and Queenstown Supper Club on 1st October.

Alliance will also play a key role in the charity’s Host a Roast month in July – when people are encouraged to host a roast, brunch or lunch and invite friends and colleagues to attend for a $20 donation to support RMHSI’s family programmes.

We have been supporting RMHSI for some time through a number of product donations so we are delighted to be forging closer ties and joining their partner family.

We also look forward to developing opportunities for Alliance staff through volunteering and participation.

The mission of Ronald McDonald House South Island is to create, find and support programmes that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their whanau. Each year, RMHSI provides a home-away-from-home for more than 1,200 families from around the South Island, providing access to libraries, schooling and activities . By easing some of the stress, families can focus on what matters most – their child.

The charity operate three programmes in the South Island – Ronald McDonald House in Christchurch and two Ronald McDonald Family room areas, at Southland Hospital and the Children’s Haematology and Oncology Ward at Christchurch Hospital.
